Adult Family Care / Elder Services
The Adult Family Care program provides room, board and personal care services to family and non-family members who are elderly or disabled and require some assistance in their living environment.
Eligibility is determined by RoxComp staff. Any elderly or disabled person who can no longer live alone, and would prefer to live with a family or non-family member rather than in an institutional setting may contact us. Participants must be able to move about independently but need some assistance with their daily personal needs.
Referrals are made to the program from a variety of hospitals, community agencies and individuals. Both participant and caregiver must agree upon the placement. This is accomplished through home visits.
The Adult Family Care program is administered and supervised by RoxComp and operated under the guidelines set forth by the Division of Medical Assistance. Participants pay for room and board. Medicaid pays for personal care. Private arrangements can be made for individuals who are not Medicaid eligible.
