Methadone Assessment and Treatment Program (MAT)
The MAT Program is housed in the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. This program combines critically needed primary medical care and intensive counseling services, along with the daily dosing of methadone. The treatment approach is a unique one that provides for detoxification and a return to the community as the ultimate goals versus a lifelong maintenance of methadone.
